I'm so frustrated right now. I can't figure out how to do buttonholes. I have a special little attachment, etc... but can't make it work for me. How can something so basic be so damn hard. I'm frustrated. Can anyone hold me? Please... :( |

Yesterday, I sat down and made tons of progress on the pajama pants I've been slowly, laggingly working on... here's a picture:
They're not sewn yet. I just pinned them together. The pattern might be a little off. I'm going to have to go over it. I don't think it's so bad for a first attempt. They weren't hard to make at all... now my next challenge will be the buttonholes. I've never made buttonholes before.
I might have another update for you tonight. |

I've been working 2 jobs now and still will be returning to school part time, but I still want to work on Sassy stuff... so I've decided that no matter what I want to devote at least an hour a day to sewing or other Sassymomma business... so expect more posts and shop updates from me really soon... :)

We're really excited about the new site. We were hoping to have the new site up today... but it looks like it might not be up until Tuesday due to them having to set up the dns or something technical like that. But that's fine, it'll give us more time to get items photographed and into the shop... as you can see the shops a bit empty right now... we plan to have way more stuff for sale by the opening day... until then you can visit us on myspace at http://myspace.com/sassymomma, there you can also sign up for our newsletter. |

I've been back to reading blogs, and I've been inspired to get SassyMomma going again. I started looking into making updating the site easier. Currently I'm doing all the coding myself, and it drains me just to add one or two things. That's why there currently isn't much up.
I found a site that looks like it's going to work for me... I'm super excited about it, I'm up way passed my bedtime working on it. I should have it up by Sunday.
Also, I've been working on sleeping masks. Here's a picture from a few nights ago of a couple...
I've been sewing them all by hand, so my hands are tired.
Well I've better get to bed, I just wanted to send a quick update on what's going on with me!...

It feels like a million years since I last posted here. When I got done with last semester I promised myself to start sewing this summer and get things up... but procrastination got the best of me. I did however start cleaning out my storage/bedroom and am working on getting a little sewing/workshop area set up in my bedroom so when I do start sewing again I won't do like last time (take the kitchen table hostage causing Miss V to eat her dinner in the living room).
I have been getting a lot of encouragement lately to get sewing, so expect to see pictures soon... |
